Question: So I have a problem with my amp getting hot and shutting off its a 900 watt pioneer amp.? Posted: 02 Feb 2016 10:30 PM PST What's the model number of the amplifier, and the brand and model number of the subs? Usually if an amp is overheating and shutting off (or going into "protect" mode) it's because the subs' impedance is lower than the amplifier can handle safely. There are other things that can cause this as well, though. |
Question: Placing an amp under rear seat cushions? Posted: 02 Feb 2016 09:11 PM PST Assuming the amp is fairly small, and is rated 400w max, would it be fine to put it on the chassis under removable back seat cushions? Or would the fire hazard be too high? It'll be running four speakers rather than a sub if that makes any difference. |
