Question: I'm really comfortable with landings but last lesson I completely screwed up? Posted: 22 Jul 2016 05:57 PM PDT The best (and only) person to discuss this with, is... your flight instructor - You pay him to teach you and give you any critique and advice when needed - That is the subject of a debriefing - A flight lesson should be... My personal word about landings... |
Question: Is one hour of flight time a week enough to absorb information? Posted: 22 Jul 2016 04:48 PM PDT Absorb information...? - I thought there was practice also...! Learning to fly is NOT flight lessons only - It is also study aviation material in hundred of publications- and audio-visual programs - I would however recommend at least two lessons per week - |
Question: How do I find airshows near me? Posted: 22 Jul 2016 02:26 PM PDT Have you ever learnt how to use a search engine? That is where you type in key words and then go through the results to find what you're looking for. The key words in your case I guess would be 'Airshows' 'Florida' and '2016' |
Posted: 22 Jul 2016 03:10 AM PDT Legally, yes. He will end up with a "multi engine land" rating on his pilot certificate, and won't be allowed to fly a single engine plane until he adds a single engine rating. Practically, it would be difficult to find an instructor willing to teach a new student in a multi engine airplane, and near impossible to find an insurer willing to insure a low time student in such a plane. |
Question: Leaving the airforce as a pilot? Posted: 22 Jul 2016 12:29 AM PDT The current commitment for AF Reserve pilots is 10 years of active duty as pilot - I served in the AF Reserve long ago (1960's Vietnam era) - things were then different - The airline chief pilot who interviewed me was an ex-tanker pilot too (KC-97) - I was told the Navy Reserve pilots now requires 10 years active duty as well - I agree with you - The primary reason to become pilot in the military is to serve your country |
