JL Audio is overpriced. Not very many people have the money to buy a $500+ sub.

Go with Sundown. Unless you have the money to buy a $500+ sub go with JL.

Putting anti-corrosion grease on the battery terminals is NOT the cause.
Have you checked that the power wire connection to your battery isn't loose?
Have you checked the in-line fuse that should have been installed in the power wire near the battery?
Have you checked the fuses / CB's on the amp itself?
Have you read the troubleshooting section in the owners manual?
Have you checked for a loose ground connection?
Does your dad have a multimeter you can use to test whether power is getting to the amp?

(p.e. ever heard of using punctuation marks? It makes things easier to read and makes you look less stupid.)

(A) They range from quite cheap ($100) to quite expensive (over $1000). Give us a maximum you are willing to spend and we will be happy to suggest some good options.

(B) Packages can be convenient, but they are often are a method a retailer uses to liquidate over-stocked items or equipment that is soon to be closed out for good. Some packages are genuinely a good deal, but many are not because at least one of the components is of lower quality. Unless you know something about equipment you could easily make a choice you'll later regret. If you know what you are looking for, it's often better to buy separates instead. Whether buying packages, or separately, ignorance is not your friend and advertisers love uninformed buyers.

(C) Most "packages" come with wiring but some do not. It will be specified in the advertisement. Beware of cheap wiring bundled with other items.

(D) Assuming that you have basic search skills and use intelligent key words, you can easily educate yourself if you spend a little time browsing the internet.

Are you unable to sort through any number of internet retailers to see what kicker speakers they offer?

Like most brands, they have a selection of 6.5's. Their basic coaxials are about $60 and go up to $250 for their waterproof speakers.

They also have component speakers from 90-230
