How do I get better at driving?

So, I'm seventeen years old and have had a few issues while driving, but first, a little back story. To begin, I began taking drivers ed when I was just turning fifteen so I could get my driver's permit. The rule was that I could get my license after one full year and with over 500 hours behind the wheel. I ended up with around 1200 hours and my parents were very confident in my driving ability! I got my license without an issue when I turned sixteen and went quite a while without any issues.
Alright, the first issue happened when I was around 16.5 years old where I wasn't paying attention while making a u-turn and hit a concrete flower pot that messed up my front bumper. It really really bothered me and I was super nervous after that. My parents were okay with it and said that everybody makes mistakes. Then, the next incident happened around 17.5 years old where I was involved in a pretty major accident. While the accident wasn't my fault (guy in front of me on the highway slammed into the car in front of him, causing me to go into the back of him), I realized I was probably following too close, but my car and the car in position 1 was totaled (of course the guy who caused the accident's Escalade was barely damaged). Then, finally after getting all of that dealt with and going to court and blablabla, we finally got our replacement car. Just yesterday (around 17.8 years old for reference), I started to back out of my garage and right into my dad's truck. Am I a bad driver?
