Posted: 23 Jul 2016 08:35 AM PDT You don't "go for pilot in college". I'm not sure what, if anything, that means. There are a few universities or colleges that offer flight training, but they tend to be more expensive and offer no advantage in the job market. Most people obtain their flight training completely independently of any college. But there is a difference between getting a commercial pilot certificate or even an ATP and getting a job with an airline - you can have the licenses and ratings, but most regionals require at least an associates degree, major airlines a bachelors degree before they will even grant an interview. Even if they have no formal policy of requiring a degree, you would be in queue behind applicants that had one. |
