Question: Is there anything like part time pilots at small commuter or charter airlines? Posted: 12 Jan 2016 04:18 AM PST I want to pursue my career as a pilot and cop. But you can't have full time jobs in both areas. I heard that there are many part time reserve police officer and sheriff deputy positions through out the country but is there a such thing as part time pilots at part 135 commuter airlines or charter airlines? |
Question: Are there now Russian aircraft 25 miles off the US coasts? Posted: 11 Jan 2016 06:12 PM PST Yes, that's called international airspace, and anyone is basically free to fly or sail in it. Looking at a map, there is only a small distance between Russia and Alaska, so any plane flying over the Bearing sea is going to be close to BOTH countries. The Russians do it as training and to check out the air defence response, and the USAF scrambles fighters to meet them, again in international waters. The pilots fly alongside for a while, take each others pictures, give each other a wave, and then fly home, mission accomplished on both sides. |
