Question: How do I run away from home? It's not what it may seem? Posted: 03 Jan 2016 10:59 AM PST Looking at your other questions, I must say first that your English is remarkably good, especially considering that you're living in the Balkans. Before you do this, consider other options. Do you have a local Rotary Club? If so, go to them and ask if they can send you overseas to live with a family for a year. They have a program to do that for high school students. Go to www.rotary.org and learn more about it. Another option would be to look into boarding school. You can see what it costs and if you can get scholarships. You're not going to make the point you think you're going to make. Running away won't help your parents see that they're being jerks. It will just stop them from trusting you at all. So I don't think this is the solution you're looking for. You need to figure out a way to get away through school or boarding school or Rotary or something like that, where it's long term and legal and gets you out of the house. Consider writing a book about your situation and getting it published. You may be able to make money off this situation in some way. And wouldn't that humiliate them, to have you be the famous author and everyone to know that your "fictional" story is really about them? |
