Cars & Transportation: Commuting: “Question: HOW MANY ARE KILLED IN WRONG WAY CRASHES ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM NATIONWIDE YEARLY AVERAGE?” plus 1 more |
Posted: 01 Jan 2016 07:52 PM PST More than 300 fatal cross-median crashes happened on interstate highways in 2012, according to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Not quite the answer you were looking for. Page 7 here has a chart about 360 lives for 260 crashes. There is a difference between cars going in the wrong direction or crossing the centre divider and the having a collision. The data is not always recorded the same way (See page 11) Did not find specific Data for INTERSTATE Roads only. |
Question: Are all State Roads maintained by DOT? Posted: 01 Jan 2016 01:47 PM PST 1-877-DOT-4YOU (1-877-368-4968) The Customer Service Office answers the department's toll-free customer service line, from 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with extended hours as necessary for emergencies. THE county Office will have more detailed information. Budgets are not unlimited. Some roads do need more maintenance than others. Road maintenance is based on planning and budget allocations for the area. If you would like to |
