Question: What's a good car for an 18 year old male to get insured cheaply? Posted: 25 Jan 2016 11:31 PM PST Sporty is the opposite of cheaply insured. Get a sedan, something like a grandmother car for the cheapest insurance. A cheap car with liability only would save you a lot. But can you afford to lose your car ? I can, easily, which is why Ive had liability only ever since paying off my last car loan 30 years ago. When I was younger, it was a sizable risk but one I weighed and accepted. Now, its a no brainer because I drive a really cheap car and could replace it easily with cash on hand. |

Question: I am in the market to buy my first car, I want one not too pricey.? Posted: 25 Jan 2016 10:14 PM PST 3 issues. 1 - At that price a GTi or ST will be pretty much worn out. Spend your 5,000 on a tidy regular Focus or Civic coupe etc. That way you can get one that "looks" how you want, but isn't completely clapped out. Has a tidy paint job, nice alloys etc. And yes I currently own a 275hp Japanese hatchback, similar performance to the cars you want. And if I'd had that when I was 20, I'm pretty certain I would have killed myself. |

Question: Buying a car, would like some help against fraud.? Posted: 25 Jan 2016 09:06 PM PST I just turned 16 and got my license. I was looking for a car when I found a sweet deal on a 2008 Acura TL with only 89k miles on it for only $2000. Sounds too good to be true right? Anyway, we emailed her and she said it was her husband's who died and she was going on deployment soon and needed quick cash. It's believable. She, gave us instructions on how to continue the transaction, saying she is a part of eBay buyers protection program, so we should transfer the money to her and she will ship the car here using eBay. She ensures us that we will have a 5 day period to test the car before she actually gets the money. She claims to be on a base, training for deployment and the car is in Virginia. The deal seams too good to be true, and that along with the fact that she wants me to pay first throws me off a little. What should I do in order to prove deal legitimacy? And how should I make sure I don't get scammed? |
