Question: How much gas money needed to drive 2000 miles? Posted: 19 Jan 2016 06:35 PM PST 350 divided by 3 = 116 gallons of gas. 30mpg x 116 gallons = 3500 miles. You should be able to get at least 35mpg average over that kind of trip as long as you drive close to the speed limits and have a car in good mechanical shape. Gas in NM right now is about $1.85 a gallon. Heck, even Washington D.C. was under 2 bucks a gallon this last weekend. California is always higher. You shouldn't have any problems with getting there on $350 bucks as long as you don't have car trouble or want to eat something or want a hotel room or something like that. |

Posted: 19 Jan 2016 12:18 PM PST This can include transfers and I would be happy if it got my close to Maple Grove so that I could get a Taxi the rest of the way. I am hoping for buses through any metro transit bus line (maple grove transit, etc...) The goal is to be able to go out downtown after work and then bus somewhere near home (Maple Grove) and taxi the rest of the way if needed. |

Posted: 19 Jan 2016 08:52 AM PST California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations. Gas Tax funds our highway maintenance. Our gasoline is full of detergents or additives (Techron, V-Power, etc), so it can reduce carbon deposits building up in the vehicle's fuel system. The days of Smoggy California are long gone. We have the cleanest gasoline in the nation, if not the world. Unfortunately, adding detergents to gasoline is expensive. |
