Question: Cop said I was going 27mph over speed limit in moderate traffic? Posted: 04 Jan 2016 09:27 AM PST Police must provide evidential proof of your speed. So demand to see that proof. The cameras also have to be certified as accurate and approved and the officers using them must also be certified as being trained to correctly operate them; these are all things you can demand to see. It's also the case that in dense traffic the camera can sometimes get a false reading from other traffic or the operator can make a mistake, but that's harder to prove. It's often just easier and less expensive to see such fines as what they often really are: additional taxes on motorists. If it doesn't have a significant effect on your insurance renewal or lead to penalty points which could put you close to losing your license then unfortunately it's often just easier to pay to make the problem go away. Fighting it. even if successful, can result in a lot more expense and stress. Losing after making such challenges is usually very financially painful indeed. |
Question: Places in Pennsylvania with easy commute to NYC? Posted: 04 Jan 2016 06:33 AM PST What do YOU consider an easy commute? Public transit is not the same for ALL shifts. What time of day is his start/finish time? How long does he want to drive or take transit? Can your guy change his work location? Some are just easier to get to from Pennsylvania if that is where you really want to live. Suggest you start from the other direction How long does it take to get home. Take into account not only the Normal time to commute but things like bad weather or accidents. Be reasonable in this as there are both the normal commute days and the other never ending ones. http://www.pacommutes.com/public-transit... ONLY YOU can place a value on commute time. |
