We have just moved to London and staying in the service apartment. We are looking for a house a bit away from the centre of London. We have looked for the houses on internet. And we found a house which we like in this area. Near by schools are Birchwood Avenue Primary School, Green Lanes Primary School ... But the website rates them 2 (1 is outstanding). Do you know if they are good schools for Asian newcomers?<br/>And there is an outstanding school "Hatfield Community Free School" but it is around 1 mile away from the house. We don't mind the distance. But will the school accept our son if it's this far? What are the criteria if we would like to send our son to this school ?<p>We have calculated the commuting time, and it is 24 mns walk + 40 mns by Great Northern train.
