-run. The California Vehicle Code for Hit and Run Causing Property Damage (CVC 20002) but no injury is a misdemeanor. If you are found in violation of CVC 20002, you face a hit and run punishment of up to six months in jail and / or a fine of $1,000 dollars. Since you are under 20 you face additional penalties for violating teen driver restrictions. You will probably have your license suspended or revoked, you will be fined an additional amount, and you will accrue significant points on your license that won't go away any time soon. If you do not report this to the police and your insurance company and come clean about the whole thing, you will probably get maximum penalties.
