Question: Electric moped fire hazard? Posted: 24 Nov 2016 05:11 PM PST I have an electric moped, the continuity tester goes off whenever it goes near it. The moped needs to be plugged in to be tested...but it also needs to be charged!?! The voltmeter goes off everytime it goes near it. Is that normal? Update: PS its rated 50-1000 volts and the charger is only 41 volts. Update 2: PPS it blinks 5-10 inches away not a milimeter away like its supposed to. Update 3: PLS HELP I THINK IT MIGHT EXPLODE OR SOMETHING. DO ALL ELECTRIC MOPEDS DO THAT? DO THEY ALL SET OFF CONTINUITY AT 10 INCHES AWAY? |

Posted: 24 Nov 2016 04:41 PM PST So I recently got into a car accident. They were able to find the person at fault of the accident. My question is, when I end up taking my car to the body shop, and show them where the paint "only" needs to be fixed, do they end up just fixing/painting that certain place that is affected? Or do they have to paint the whole car? I'm new to this so any information would be helpful! :) |
Question: Do new cars get bad mileage at first? Posted: 24 Nov 2016 04:10 PM PST For many years, new cars had to be "broken in". . . . . in my experience, some took up to 20,000 miles to wear-in and get maximum miles per gallon. New car engines are built to stricter tolerances and with fuel injection and electronic controls get just about maximum mileage when brand new. Don't expect any car to get as good mileage as posted on the window sticker - - - but it shouldn't be "bad"......if really terrible, go back to dealer. But much depends on your use and driving conditions: we have a 2006 car in great shape but now mostly used for short hops around town, to the store, etc. - - - - it previously got 24 mpg most of the time and up to 29 mpg on the highway - - - - - but around town now it usually gets around 14. Stop-and-go driving takes more fuel and no car gets maximum mileage until fully warmed-up . . . in our case, most trips are less than a mile now. |
