Posted: 18 Nov 2016 10:57 AM PST False. Driving licenses are not transferable from state to state. All US states require that you complete their written test to be able to obtain a license. As long as your current license from another US state is current you will only have to take the written portion of the driving test, not the behind the wheel portion. This is standard in all US states. |
Posted: 18 Nov 2016 09:29 AM PST If you drive with a clutch pedal long enough, your leg and hip will get stronger over time and you'll get used to operating it regularly without your leg getting fatigued. Just give yourself time to get stronger. As for technique on how to best eliminate fatigue in the first place, try to keep your ankle joint mostly "locked" in one position and use your knee bending to push your foot into (and to pull off of) the clutch pedal. Keep your left foot off the floor when operating the clutch pedal to help keep your ankle joint out of the equation. Flexing at your ankle will not only add to fatigue it also makes properly modulating the clutch pedal more difficult, not to mention many people's ankles simply aren't really strong enough to keep pushing against the clutch pedal's spring repeatedly without fatiguing, even in modern cars whose clutch pedals are typically very easy to push compared to older cars. And yes, I also felt that operating the clutch was very fatiguing when I first learned to drive. It took some time (probably longer than it will take you because I learned on a much older car with a much heavier clutch than you'll find in cars today) but you'll get stronger and it'll stop bothering you sooner than you think. Good luck. |
