Posted: 24 Nov 2016 01:45 AM PST Your best bet now is to get a friend to buy a car and loan it to you. You will need a friend who is rich and foolish, and who understands that the car and all the money into it is perhaps about to be flushed down the loo. Hmmm. That probably won't work. Let's think for a moment. [Sound of Snezzy thinking. Zzzzzz. Zzzzzz.] If you try to do anything fancy, like pretending to be someone else so you can get a loan, then you'll be looking for someone to care for your children while you gaze out from behind iron bars. Instead, see about how you can get out of your financial pit. Ask your successful friends for advice. That's ADVICE, not MONEY. If you don't have any successful friends, go join a church or civic association that has successful members. Even if you are not religious, pray for guidance. Accept help when offered, and for goodness sake don't whine about your misfortunes. Chin up! Tomorrow will be a better day because you will MAKE it be a better day. |
Question: Today my boyfriend got into an accident WITHOUT a drivers license? Posted: 24 Nov 2016 12:50 AM PST Your boyfriend is liable since he failed to pay attention, was following too closely or failed to keep an assured distance. You file a claim on the insurance. Most likely they will pay (unless) there is an exclusion in the policy that won't pay if he does not have a valid drivers license. If there is an exclusion, then the insurance denies, then your BF will have to pay for the other drivers vehicle damages and/or injuries. Your BF will have to pay a fine since he was driving w/out a valid license. |
Question: What is the process to update a Texas title? Posted: 23 Nov 2016 10:43 PM PST "If buying from an individual, have the seller accompany you to the county tax office to avoid unwanted surprises. Before submitting the title application, a tax office representative can tell you if the title being signed over to you is correct and if it has any salvage or legal issues. You can also use Title Check to see if the title of the vehicle you are thinking about buying has any issues impacting its value. In addition to the title, ask the seller to provide you with the signed vehicle title application, Form 130-U, and any other supporting documents, such as a release of lien or power of attorney. Keep a written record that includes the name and address of the seller, date of sale and vehicle information, including the VIN. Failure to title a vehicle within 30 days from the date of sale may result in delinquent transfer penalties. You must provide proof of liability insurance when you title and register your vehicle. If you do not provide proof of insurance, you may apply for 'title only'. The Vehicle Inspection Report (VIR), which is proof of inspection, also must be provided if a record of current inspection is not in the state database. Ask the seller for a copy of the latest VIR if it is available. If the transaction takes place on a Saturday or Sunday and the seller chooses to remove their license plates and registration sticker from the vehicle, you will need to download a Vehicle Transit Permit. This will allow you to legally drive the vehicle to the county tax office, or if the county tax office is closed, to a place of your choice. This permit is valid for five calendar days and only one permit may be issued per vehicle sale." |
