Question: To get your license, do you wait 270 after you get your permit or after you turn 16? Posted: 12 Oct 2016 04:14 AM PDT Neither? Both? Some of one or the other? http://www.in.gov/bmv/2363.htm AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR A PROBATIONARY DRIVER'S LICENSE If you have successfully completed an approved driver education program you must be at least 16 years and 90 days old (approximately 16 years and three months) to obtain a driver's license. If you have not successfully completed an approved driver education program you must be at least 16 years and 270 days old (approximately 16 years and nine months) to obtain a driver's license. |
Question: GEICO doesn't want to pay for my damages. Do I have a case? Posted: 12 Oct 2016 04:00 AM PDT When you purchase insurance, then the insurance company will send you an ID card of your coverage, (plus) a declaration of what coverage you bought, a copy of the application and a policy. Since they never inspected, my guess with the papers you received, (somewhere) is a letter or note that your collision and comprehensive will not be effective, until your vehicles are inspected and have no damages. Or, they could have sent you a letter dated 9/22 or 9/23, stating that cars not inspected, thus not covered until they are; So being in the hospital for 21 days, am guessing when you got home had tons of mail waiting for you, and guessing in that mail will be from Geico. Now, if you can't find anything from Geico (in writing) prior to the vandalism, then "maybe" could have a case. You can consult with a lawyer for legal advice, but you would need to bring with you the policy, the application, declaration and any other letters you received. Many will give you 1 free short consult. |

Question: Bought a car , now the owner won t hand over the title? Posted: 11 Oct 2016 11:35 PM PDT What do you mean by..."She used her name" ? Of course when she bought the car she used her name, that is normal. And then later she sold the car? Or was this a straw purchase, ie she bought for your boyfriend with a loan, but then he was the real driver? Or he bought the car from her, handed her money, but did not get the title at the same time. And you say she gave him a bill of sale from the dealership. Sorry this is confusing. Maybe add some more detail. |
