Posted: 03 Oct 2016 05:23 PM PDT I know most spark plugs today are resistor spark plugs because if you use ordinary spark plugs then it causes static in the radio. I wonder if you have a bad spark plug wire, and it is causing the interference. |

Posted: 03 Oct 2016 01:44 PM PDT Most bass heads would upgrade the stock battery, alternator, and do the big 3. Steve Meade has 4 18's and over 10 amplifiers in his Tahoe. I believe his system is about 30k watts RMS. His system is 95% louder than most other cars with high end SPL systems. Not every car has the same type of stock alternator. The point where you wanna upgrade the alternator is when you're gonna be running a system more than 1.5k watts RMS. It's more about the alternator than the battery. The battery is just there to start the car and the amplifier. Then, when the engine is running the alternator keeps the battery charged and the alternator powers everything in your car. It charges your phone, powers your radio, powers your amplifier and your entire system. |
