Posted: 01 Oct 2016 05:42 PM PDT You are 16 years of age, still in high school, I assume U.S., "small" at 100 lbs/5"5' -- https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index... The very first thing you do is take the MSF Basic RIdercourse Class -- you will learn ** IF ** you can ride, and will learn a bit of what you might like on a motorcycle. Second, 5'5" is not small for a girl. Technique trumps muscle -- a 95# girl can put a fallen Harley back on it's wheels. Do you want a motorcycle to look cool, play/pose racer -- or do you want to ride daily normal transportation? |
Question: Best bycicle motor/ bike motor kit?? Posted: 01 Oct 2016 04:46 PM PDT For only $200, you will have to go with gas. Elec motor kits to go 10 miles a day would cost $800 or more with batteries. But gas powered bikes are illegal to ride on public roads in most all cities and states.. You should look online and see what the laws are in your state for gas powered bikes. |
Question: How do you finance a motorcycle and what do and don't you need? Posted: 01 Oct 2016 02:33 PM PDT The dealer would probably be happy to handle that for you if you qualify (i.e. time on job, credit rating, etc.) BUT you'd probably get a better deal from your bank if you have a bank account. Go to your bank or credit union and ask to talk to a loan officer. He has your whole history right on his screen and he can tell you how much you could borrow, how much of a down payment you'll need to make, what the interest would be, how much a month, etc. If it's your own bank and you've had an account for a year or two, that's going to be the best deal you can get. You're going to pay a higher rate for a bike than a car, and for a used bike than a new bike. They will probably also require full-coverage insurance, which can get really expensive if you're under 25. |
Posted: 01 Oct 2016 01:18 PM PDT Yes, it is something that can be done by yourself but it does take a bit of knowledge to look at everything that needs attention, things like the valve guides, the valve seats, rocker arm, etc. Make sure you use a Shop Manual for disassembly and assembly to get things right (plus take your time). |
