I have been riding since I can remember (I'm 18). It made my dad and I grow a lot closer. A few years ago, my parents had to sell them. I found ways to ride though (friends), because it's my passion.<p>When I found out what a supermoto is, I began researching them constantly. I was obsessed. This year, after a while of talking to my dad, he decided he wanted one as well. He thought it'd be a good idea since I was going to college, and I could buy it from him when i go to college. He bought one when my mom said we could get DIRTBIKES. She is extremely protective of me, especially since I am the only child, and when she realized it was street legal (she's not very smart when it comes to this stuff) she freaked out. Ever since it entered our garage it has been WW3 with my parents. The bike has made my dad's life a living hell. I feel awful cause 1. I leave every morning and see the bike, just sitting there collecting dust. 2. My dad gets ALL the **** for it but he did it for ME.</p><p>How can I help her understand. Just mentioning it makes her mad. All she sees is danger. I know it's more dangerous. I will be a smart rider (my dad taught me well). Any ideas? She always gets mad and says "when you're out of our care completely, go ahead.". BTW- I live in a area where drivers are safe. Also I drive a truck that gets 9mpg.
