Posted: 08 Oct 2016 04:57 PM PDT Sounds like the badge fell off, got damamged, someone nicked it etc. Some people even take them off on purpose for some reason. If it worries you, you can go to the Nissan dealer and order a new one. But that's the least of your worries when buying a car. You should worry about the condition of the engine, transmission, tires, paint etc. The important and expensive things. A missing badge is a minor cosmetic thing. |

Posted: 08 Oct 2016 04:15 PM PDT The other "answerers" don't have a smart car. I do. It is a rather safe car in a collision -- the Germans do "safety." The Fortwo Cabrio is the cheapest convertible on the U.S. market. Under 9 feet long, curb to curb under 29 feet, it is a easy car to park. Yes, it is a quirky transmission. It is not an automatic -- it is a manual with an automatic clutch/throttle. Different, but not bad. It has enough room in front for two 6'6" passengers. It has bad space for rear seats, like none. It is a two seater. It has enough cargo space -- I took a 2"x6"x8' (right, eight feet!) board home from Lowes. (okay, I cheat, I have the convertible.) Mine is a 2 generation 451 with a 71 bhp 999cc. The new 453 has a turbo 899cc with considerable more power. Mine does just fine doing 80+ mph on the Interstate. I am in Los Angeles. On the streets I am at a stop 50% of the time. When I get the green signal I am quicker than others drivers. I drive "frisky." I keep roof and windows down, meaning more wind drag. I do everything wrong for fuel mileage and I still get 33mpg+. If you want luxurious comfort touring the Interstates, don't get a smart. |
