Posted: 09 Oct 2016 08:18 PM PDT (A) It's easy enough to find by doing a web search or going to the Mini cooper website, or by going to the EPA website. Are you really that lazy or incompetent that you cannot do that on your own? (B) Did you fail 4th grade math? It's not exactly rocket science. Divide 180 by the mpg of the vehicle, and then multiply the result by the price of gas. (C) So you don't go away mad, it will cost about 225 Mexican pesos. The exchange rate is currently 19 pesos per dollar. |
Question: Spend all my money on a car? Posted: 09 Oct 2016 07:35 PM PDT that is not a wise idea to spend all the money on a car to then go bankrupt and what if then in that 1+ year mechanical engineering study there comes a bill to pay, then there wont be any money left to pay the bill and that would then lead to a school drop out, a fail for life. there is a tuck to drive already, it doesnt matter whether its sheatty or not, what matters is it drives, it should get an oil change now and then it should be good to drive in that 1+ year till finishing the engineering school. at 21y age the brains reward center has no filter yet and wants everthing immediatly and the consequences arent thought that well about either but thats how it is as written before, when thinking about it rationally. edit: |
Question: How do I get a car salesman to help me? Posted: 09 Oct 2016 06:57 PM PDT Do you talk, dress, and confidently carry yourself as someone who has the money to buy a luxury car. Sales people are skilled at "reading" people and determining who is serious, who has the financial ability to buy, and who to spend their time with. Will you be driving up to the dealer's showroom in a 1998 Honda beater? Are you in some kind of business that would make it apparent that you might have money? Will you actually know something about the car you are interested in, and can speak intelligently about it? I would suggest that you simply walk into the showroom, speak politely to the first sales person you meet, and tell them straight-up that you are here to look at such and such car, with such and such equipment and options, and that if they have that car at the right price, you are prepared to buy with cash TODAY. That will get their blood running fast. They will likely not quite believe you at first and possibly think you're just a poor kid wanting a free test drive. So they might ask a few friendly questions like, "So, what kind of business are you in?" or "So, what is your budget, how much do you want to spend?" or "What kind of car will you be trading today?" |
Posted: 09 Oct 2016 05:21 PM PDT Not sure what you are trying to calculate, but your example calculation means nothing. Normally, when someone calculates a "break-end" number, it's related to buying one way compared to another, or comparing some savings number to a cost number. For example, if you pay more to buy a hybrid car to save gas, you want to know the break-even point at which the savings in gas equals the higher cost of the car. So ..... I have no idea what you are trying calculate. |
