Cars & Transportation: Buying & Selling: “Question: Application for Autozone says my birthday is incorrect?” plus 5 more

Question: Application for Autozone says my birthday is incorrect?

Posted: 15 Jul 2014 09:07 PM PDT

I'm 16 and trying to apply to Autozone.
i read that they rarely hire 16 year olds but its worth a shot. And when i was filling out the application online, i put in my birthday (10/31/1997) and it was in red. After i repeatedly re-typing it and clicking on the little calendar icon and clicking on the year, then month, then day, i assumed it was nothing. but when i try to pressed save it goes back to the birthday and its in red. Can i not give them my application at age 16?

even if they dont hire me, I'd still like them to have my resume and application. Because i wish to work there when im older.

Question: Keep or Sell my newish truck?

Posted: 15 Jul 2014 08:58 PM PDT

If it was me, I would sell the 05 and use that money to fix the 96 and add some creature comforts to make it more comfortable. Tune up ( not hot rod ) the engine and make it run great, get some new tires and maybe Line-X the truck bed. Really make it into a truck that'll last.

I own a 1979 Bronco XLT and it treats me right because I do the same. I also have restored multiple classic muscle cars.

Question: Could this be a hot news if I want to report about Toyota dealer selling me a used certified car and after 9 hours driving it broke out .?

Could this be a hot news if I want to report about Toyota dealer selling me a used certified car and after 9 hours driving it broke out .?

I purchased the 2002 Toyota Highlander from Toyota dealer located on S 27th st. Milwaukee, WI on 07/14/14. It cost me total over $12000. Today 07/15/14 after 9 hours driving, it broke out on freeway I-90W. We can't even start the engine. We opened the hook , we check the transmission oil first and it empty, so we check at the bottom we saw some old oil leak ut still left there. I called the salesman who sold me the car, the assistant system manerger call me back and told me that: they check everything before they sold out , but my question is why my transmission oil leaking and empty ? So they don't want responsible for that. Please answer as soon as you can, because right now we waiting for the inspection tomorrow and find out what happened. Thank you so much. (I don't know what to do, please help me. We have the job offer will start tomorrow but we stuck now can't go to work.)

Question: Should I buy this car?

Explorers are nicknamed "Exploders" for a reason: their reliability suuuuucks. Chances are that this particular vehicle you are viewing needs a lot of regular scheduled maintenance like new tires, new timing belt, possibly new fuel pump, transmission oil change...etc., so unfortunately I must tell you that rust is not the be all and end all to evaluating used cars. Other high price problems could include CV joint wear, suspension problems and transmission problems.

Obviously you don't have a lot of cash to spend, so I would have to tell you to get yourself a much newer compact car like a civic or corolla... etc. With that in mind, if you are deadset on an SUV, you could also look at much newer Nissan Xterra's, although you would have to save up a little bit more for that.

Well looks like you want a recommendation and I would suggest you try http://excite.com/events for the simple reasons I haven't ever faced a problem when getting my tickets from them. Its been easy and the prices have been good. And yes, they have genuine tickets so you will not be ripped off.
