Question: Question about driving test (three-point-turn)? Posted: 12 Jul 2014 10:48 PM PDT Before starting three-point-turn, the driving examiner will ask me to park a car along a curb, right? At the time does the examiner tell me either down hill, up hill w/ curb, or up hill w/o curb regardless of the real ground form? Or does it depend on the slope of the road and the examiner always says the same thing at the same test center? (I mean if the examiner told me it's up hill w/ curb on the first exam, is it same on the second exam in case I failed the first exam?) One more question. I would like you to check the steps of three-point-turn. 1. stop the car along a curb. (Before stop completely check the room mirror to make sure there is no car coming from behind.) 2. change shift to park, turn on parking break, and turn the wheel to right or left according to the hill. 3. After the examiner tells me to start three-point-turn, turn off the parking break, change shift to drive, turn on the signal to left, and turn the wheel to left. 4. look around to make sure no car is coming from both back left and front left. 5. drive forward, stop the car, change shift to reverse, turn the wheel to right, and buck up looking behind over right shoulder. 6. stop the car, change shift to drive, turn the wheel to left, and go forward. (complete three-point-turn) Is there any lacking steps, unnecessary steps or wrong order? Thanks!!! |
Question: Backing out of a parking space? Posted: 12 Jul 2014 08:26 PM PDT Backing out of a parking space? I start drivers ed in a couple days and I obviously have to drive, which means backing out of a parking spot. The parking lot is very tight, and I'm already bad at backing out. How do I back out without hitting a car? |
Question: How hilly and twisty are the roads around Ellijay, Georgia? Posted: 12 Jul 2014 07:07 PM PDT How hilly and twisty are the roads around Ellijay, Georgia? We're thinking of vacationing north of Ellijay at a cabin, but I wanted to know how steep or dangerous the roads are. It just makes me feel uncomfortable going on high and winding roads so I'd like to know before we book a place. Thank you! |
Question: Will Triple AAA give me gas with my situation? Posted: 12 Jul 2014 02:44 PM PDT You cannot afford a gallon of fuel? No friends, no family, no neighbors to help you? Why are you asking here what AAA may or may not do? Why not as AAA? This all makes no sense to me. I am sure the last time this happened, for I am positive this is not the first one, somehow you managed. No money for gas but you had money for other things this last week. And you work and have a Prius? How many gas stations did you drive by on the way to this home? |
Question: How should you execute a turn when coming from a complete stop? Posted: 12 Jul 2014 01:17 PM PDT At a 4-way stop it is not that difficult, you just accelerate around the corner. At a 2-way or a green light you need to anticipate the speed of other traffic, so either make sure that the way is totally clear or do not linger making your turn. You could get broadsided if you underestimate the speed of oncoming traffic. You will become more comfortable with that as you get more experience. |
