Question: Need Tire and Wheel Information?

Posted: 16 Jul 2014 08:42 PM PDT

Hello,
I want to replace my vehicle factory 16" Tire and Rim with 18" or 19". I never being into this thing thats why I am totally illiterate in this matter. I want to ask:

1. I saw many cars with huge tire and rims literally touching car's fender. It looks like they lower their vehicle in order to give it a sporty look. How can we do that?

2. Does low profile tire effects the smoothness of driving?

3. What points should we consider when replacing tire and rims?

4. What brand of tire and wheel is recommended? I can spend $1300 on both

Thank you and much appreciation of your time.

I have Kia Optima 2014

Question: How do I stop my car door from closing too hard?

What car is it?

In older cars, the front doors used springs at the hinges.

Newer cars tend to use a rubber piece. These wear out fairly fast. Because the driver's side is used more than the passenger side, the it will fail sooner.

Question: Car rpm jumps and falls drastically?

car rpm jumps and falls drastically?

My friend has an 03 Nissan Altima 4 cyl. After the car gets warm the engine revs and falls so fast it jerks the car around. We gave it some gas in neutral and in park with the same result. I think it might be a misfire. The check engine light is on and will be checked in a day or so, but trying to get ideas now. It idles fine, just when you give it gas, it goes spastic.
Also, on a weird note, his ac starts out cold but slowly gets warmer as his car warms up. Soon as it blows hot air his car starts jumping. Pretty sure they're not related, but might as well ask anyway.

If starter and trim both won't work, then likely an electrical problem that you will need to follow with a test light. Check at battery, fuses, ignition switch, starter solenoid, etc. Don't forget to check grounds as well.
