Question: 5% liable, now I'm 95% liable? Posted: 12 Jul 2014 10:35 AM PDT Got rear ended at an intersection 6 months ago, his insurance company claimed 95% at fault, now 6 months later I got a letter from my insurance that my report has been sent to the merit board claiming that I'm more than 50% liable? I have an attorney working on it, but just in the meantime I would like to hear your response? Are they flipping the script? What's going on? I Mean everything was recorded I believe, do I have to sue and bring to court? Did something sleezy go on and the person that rear ended me pull something sleezy to flip the script? Has anyone ever experience anything like this? Thanks! |
Question: Provisional Licence help? Posted: 12 Jul 2014 10:21 AM PDT You can start learning to drive a car anytime you like - on private property. The law is that under no circumstances can you drive a car on any public road (which included places like car parks to which the public has access) before your 17th birthday. You cannot drive a moped on any public road before your 16th birthday (and even then you must do the CBT first) You can get the licence early for one reason only - so that you can actually start on your birthday if you wish to. |
Question: Can I get my license in a different state? Posted: 12 Jul 2014 09:58 AM PDT Yes, I went through a similar situation. As long as you have proof of address in Ohio and your dad is licensed in Ohio you can apply for a permit there. You would be better off doing the entire process there (drivers ed test, permit, license, etc). However keep in mind that most states prohibit driving with a permit outside of the home state. Since you said you only spend your summers there that may be difficult. Also most require at least 6 months of training before you can get your restricted license. Once you get your license you can drive anywhere. |
Question: 3rd party Driver only car insurance buy?..? Posted: 12 Jul 2014 09:45 AM PDT Who do you think will win the World Cup: Germany or Argentina? And who will you be rooting for? The World Cup final comes down to Argentina vs Germany. And the matchup means more to... |
Question: What are the possibilities? Posted: 12 Jul 2014 09:03 AM PDT I'm going to assume you live in Ohio, and ran afoul of the following law: 4511.19 Operating vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs - OVI. Chances are that your license is going to be gone to a time either way, but I'd advise an attorney, theses are serious charges with a mandatory 3 days in jail upon conviction. Your choice though. |
