However you can try. One big advantage of TAP over cash fares or paper passes is free balance protection. If you have a reduced-fare pass or if you purchased TAP passes online, you are already signed up for balance protection. If not, just register once and we'll replace the balance if your TAP card becomes lost or stolen (a .00 replacement fee is required).
