Posted: 10 Sep 2015 09:38 AM PDT Dan is right, you need to report it to your insurance company as soon as possible. Even though you only have liability, you pay them to represent you as well. It's their job to get the other insurance company to pay out, so don't let yourself stress over it. Even if the at fault driver never answers the phone, that's not your problem and her insurance should still pay out. Again, this isn't something to stress over, that's for your insurance company to handle. |
Posted: 10 Sep 2015 09:35 AM PDT You have speeding tickets without a permit? Interesting... Anyway, you should pay those tickets immediately. The court can issue a bench warrant for your arrest, which means you will be arrested on the spot for any infraction, no matter how small. As for whether you can get your permit, I would imagine that depends on where you live. Some places might block you from getting any driving permit or license, others might overlook it. |

Posted: 10 Sep 2015 07:29 AM PDT If you live with your mother, she must declare you as a regular driver of the car. Yes, this will make her insurance go up. If she doesn't declare you and you get into an accident, her insurance will be cancelled and the insurance company will refuse to cover the accident. Your mother will be on the hook for the entire cost of the accident, including the other car's damages and any medical bills if you are determined to be at fault. If you do not live with your mother, you are covered for borrowing her car. If you have an accident and her insurer has to pay something, her premium will go up. If the police cite you for the accident, your insurance will go up. |
