The one time we didn't was due to a misunderstanding of paying a renewal fee (feb 6th) thinking monthly insurance was included.<br/>In February 2015 my sister drove my vehicle & was involved in an accident. She was completely stopped at an intersection, thought she was clear, & took off, running into another vehicle which had full coverage with State Farm. According to police report neither driver stated they were at fault. Other driver said, "she just couldn't stop in time." No tickets were issued, not even for no insurance bc insurance (we thought we had) was presented at the time. I called my insurance to make a claim. Apparently, my sister had insurance covering her as well (State Farm), that was that.<br/>Here we are in September & I get a call from national bureau service (collection agency) stating we owe $5k for damages or our licenses will be suspended. We never received phone calls or mail from State Farm or this agency. Is it legal for State Farm to do this without contacting us first to hear our statement? Is it legal for them to automatically put us at fault? And isn't that why we pay for full coverage? Wouldn't this be considered double dipping on state farms part? There claiming injuries, when our car hit them we were barely moving, we were in traffic, there car is fine and so is mine.I don't even need to use my insurance on my car cuz theres nothing wrong with it. there lying. You will need one of your parents to buy it for you.</p><p>3. Insurance cost is relative to your driving record and the exact car that you plan on buying. There is no set cost.</p><p>4. There is good insurance and there is cheap insurance. Never the two shall cross.</p><p>5.
