I recently told my mom I don't like driving. She said that's gay and told me to never tell any female of my age group what I said because they would presume I'm a he-she.

I said I don't like driving because it requires a lot of attention and the pain of driving in bumper to bumper traffic is annoying, it's not that I don't like driving but I find aspects annoying. It didn't just sound right.

I'm 23 and 5' 10" . I'm single. If I ever mentioned this to someone I'm hitting on, would she presume the same thing ?
