Question: Do dealers do trade ins plus cash difference for downgrading? Posted: 04 Dec 2015 08:48 PM PST The smart way to do this would be to sell your bike, privately, for the $5,000 and then go and buy the replacement and cheaper bike for cash. Dealers do all of their deals to make money, so they WILL lowball you on what your current bike is worth, and charge you top dollar for the cheaper bike. At least if you sell the current bike privately, you will pocket their profit on that end of the deal yourself. |
