The Training including a minimum of professional training, in a car, which means you need to start with a car learning permit.</p><p>Once you get those certificates it is a slam dunk with the written and eye tests at the DMV and you walk out with your motorcycle permit. You can ride solo, daytime, no freeways. Take and pass the CMSP class and six months after the permit they swap it for your license, no restrictions.</p><p>Others will suggest starting with a 250 or more, weighing 330 pounds minimum, capable of 75-100 mph. You don't need that.
