Question: Commute from Temecula to San Diego - bearable or brutal? Posted: 24 Aug 2015 09:29 PM PDT The jams are the on the other route. Still, that is about a 45-55 mile trip. On the southbound trip as you approach the city, 15. 10, 5 and 805 can be a nightmare. Try living in San Marcos. Escondido, Rancho Bernardo or even Poway so it wont be too bad. And remember, San Diego is a Navy town. You can wear your USS Carl Vinson ballcap and get discounts everywhere without asking. |

Question: Driving from Oklahoma to California suggestions? Posted: 24 Aug 2015 11:44 AM PDT As long as I had a credit card with a couple thousand of limit on it in case of emergency, no problem. In 2008 my daughter and I drove from LA to Springfield MO in 3 days with overnight stops in Flagstaff and Tucumcari NM. For you I suggest when you get to Kingman AZ, head north to Vegas. |
Question: Can you take the local bus through its whole route? Posted: 24 Aug 2015 12:02 AM PDT Some cities want you to pay a second fare when you get to the end of the line and want to go back. Others, like where I live, your fare gives you unlimited riding within the fare zones for which you have paid for a period of 90 minutes. when your 90 minutes is up, you pay another fare. They also sell day passes for about 2 1/2 times the cost of a single fare. My point is that there is no set rule. |
