Question: Im a newbie and looking for a bike thats good to go on a highway? Posted: 21 Aug 2015 10:49 PM PDT The Ninjette is a killer sport bike, can do 100 mph on the track. Sport bike are designed to go fast, they are not designed to be comfortable. Sport bikes are designed to be fun, not to be good transportation. The Ninjette can do 85 mph all day long, even if you will be in pain after a hour or so. Motorcycles are not safe. Statistically, in half of all accidents in cars there are no injuries. *IF* you are involved in an "accident" you will be hurt. |
Posted: 21 Aug 2015 10:13 PM PDT Blue lights are not allowed. Your helmet is part of the equipment, and thus blue lights on the helmet will also be illegal. Question: Why do you want the cops looking at you? Do you *want* traffic tickets??? In the MSF class, and other classes, they teach of "Target Fixation." Like a moth in a candle, humans see things on the road and aim at them. Making yourself a bright target may get the cagers see you, but can also attract you. IMHO it is better to be unseen. I prefer trust my seeing the cagers and avoiding them, rather than hoping the cagers will see and avoid me. In 50+ years on motorcycles no cager has been able to hit me. I like to keep it that way. |

Posted: 21 Aug 2015 07:30 PM PDT Do you have an idea about engine RPM? There are curves and fluctiations in power delivery, as in too low and too high. You need to stay in the best 'power-band' for best results because having the 'power' when you need it is better than not having it. |
