Question: What maneuvers should I know for my road test? Posted: 15 Aug 2015 09:17 PM PDT You need to know how to drive the speed limit. (going to fast or too slow will be a failure on a road test.) Stay in your lane. (even when turning corners...new drivers often drift into the other lane during a turn since the middle area is not always clearly marked) Obey all traffic laws. (watch for traffic signs and know what you should be doing) Know who has the right of way in a four way intersection. Use your turn signals at the right time. Use your mirrors. (if you aren't using your mirrors, the instructor will deduct points from your score. A low score will result in a failed test.) Be able to parallel park. During a road test, the instructor will be paying attention to how you handle the vehicle. The instructor will be watching to see that you are using your turn signals at the right times. Some errors are an instant failure. Other errors deduct points, but if enough points are deducted, it becomes a failure. Basically, you need to be skilled enough to drive in a safe and confident manner. |
