| Question: Long Island rail road questions? Posted: 12 Aug 2015 11:09 PM PDT New York Subway ticket vending machines accept credit and debit cards. I used one to ride the subway today. But i come form New Jersey so I had no experience with the Long Island Railroad. Since the MTA operate the LIRR most likely you can use your credit card. |
| Question: Who is taller Train or Truck ? Posted: 12 Aug 2015 11:43 AM PDT You seem very keen on getting an answer to this line of questioning! However, here are the maximum heights allowed in general for trains in several countries (Height from rail to top of locomotive vehicle over ventilators, pantographs, etc., from the top of the rail): Indian Metre gauge: 3.429m/11-ft 3-in In all countries/territories there are some stretches of railway that have higher or lower restrictions, and have dedicated locomotives and rolling stock to suit. Precise figures are difficult to find for Russia, but their locomotives and rolling stock are the tallest in the world, at over 5.2m/17-ft.0-in. The overall height of trucks is nit rigidly standardised. However, as they are built for a global market, they are designed to fit under the majority of the overbridges, tunnels, enclosed vehicle ferries etc., world-wide, which is around 5 metres. |
