Posted: 31 Aug 2015 08:24 AM PDT This doesn't refer to a specific state (in the US). Someone else (who is usually wrong) said that someone just getting a car and insurance at 54 would have a higher rate since they weren't previously insured. It is not known how long this person has been licensed...it could be over 35 years. |

Posted: 31 Aug 2015 07:20 AM PDT Call his insurance company and ask for a quote. They will tell you exactly how much it will cost. Then call a few other insurers for quotes. The person who owns the car gets the insurance. If he owns the car, he gets the insurance. When you're 18, he can transfer ownership of the car to you, and then you can get your own insurance. If he still owns it, he still gets the insurance. |
