Why does the car make this sound?
I'm a new driver so I have been practicing for a little over a year now. I have driven many different cars and now I am driving my mom's car.

She has a maxima 2014 and every time I drive it, I'm somehow pressing on the gas wrong. Even if I press the gas lightly it sounds like I am accelerating when I'm not. The car still goes slowly. I ease onto the gas and the same thing happens.

Now I thought it might be the car but she drives it everyday with no noise or no problem. So I know its me. It's super frustrating. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

No, the Liberty is not a reliable vehicle. In fact, it's one of the least reliable vehicles made by a US auto manufacturer.

I've rented a couple of them over the years. The ride was punishing, the cockpit was cramped, and handling sucked. About the only good thing that I could be said about them was that they did have a tight turning radius.

If you want reliable, stick with a Honda or Toyota.
