Question: Why do many Americans have a saviour complex concerning the rest of the world? Posted: 28 Oct 2015 04:19 AM PDT Why do many Americans have a saviour complex concerning the rest of the world? ---- Because, since the end of WW1, anytime something bad happens, half the world whines "Why won't America fix this?" And of course, when America gives in and intervenes, the other half of the world blames every problem on America being involved. For an example, the US toppled the Baathist dictator in Iraq, and got nothing but condemnation. And the US refused to topple the Baathist dictator in Syria....and gets nothing but condemnation. This is the international relations theory of Damned If You Do, Damned If You Don't. |
Question: Why do i always want to sell my cars? Posted: 28 Oct 2015 01:04 AM PDT You probably get a rush every time you get a new car but when that feeling wears off, you want to flip it again to regain that feeling. I'm the opposite. I certainly appreciate cars and the technology that goes into them but I view cars as a transportation device. I find a good one and keep it for a long time to minimize the sting of depreciation values. |
