Posted: 21 Oct 2015 03:33 PM PDT I have been told by 2 different instructors now on how to maneuver this, but have failed both tests. When turning do i always get into the inside lane (closest to the yellow line) or the closest lane to me? For both of these keep in mind, even if it were a turn lane I would be turning into, would I still get into the closest lane or inside lane? I know this is very confusing but i've been given two different answers, which is right? This pertains to North Carolina drivers. |

Question: Is the commute worth the job? Posted: 20 Oct 2015 06:32 PM PDT No, unless you're getting paid for mileage. I drive almost that exact amount (~50 miles per day) and I put 40k miles per year on my car. I bought my car brand new in 2011 and I already have 165k miles on it. You need oil changes and tire rotations pretty much every 1-2 months, plus lots of other maintenance far sooner than you would. The only reason I keep my job is because my company pays $0.56/mile, so it pays for this maintenance. If you're not getting paid per mile for business travel, definitely pass on the opportunity in my opinion. |
