Posted: 30 Oct 2015 12:19 AM PDT Deer can't read, so they don't obey the deer signs anyway. You can try suing a deer, but it has no money if you win. Seriously, deer are wild animals. They wander where they want. Local authorities put up signs in places where they are common, but chances are if you drove past a sign that said "Deer" you would still be doing 40 mph. They could put a "Deer" sign on ever road in the State, would you slow down? This is the risk you take with liability only insurance. It's cheaper, but you don't get cover for every misfortune. |
Question: Out of State Student Employed Out of State? Posted: 29 Oct 2015 11:24 PM PDT If you are enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited school in Virginia and not employed, you may drive in Virginia with a valid out-of-state (or another country) driver's license and valid out-of-state license plates on your vehicle. If you are a full-time student and employed, you are considered a resident of Virginia for the purposes of motor vehicle laws only. This does not necessarily qualify you for in-state tuition rates. Therefore, you must apply for a Virginia driver's license and register your vehicle in Virginia. You must register the vehicle in Virginia even if it is owned by someone else. "Employed" doesn't differentiate between where the employer is located because where he is located doesn't matter. It is where YOU live while employed by him that matters. |
