Posted: 22 Oct 2015 02:11 PM PDT So today I was driving in a busy mall parking lot where the lanes are narrow. I was turning right and there were a lot of cars in the oncoming lane so when I turned tightly, my back rim scraped on the curb. Basically my problem is: Either I turn right and drive onto the oncoming lane a little bit or I turn right and scrape my back rim on the curb. How do I find the perfect medium? |

Posted: 22 Oct 2015 05:58 AM PDT If green arrow, ALL turn lanes in that direction may turn, if safe to turn. If RED, and the sign says NO turn on red, no one may turn. If no sign, only curb lane may turn on red, when it is safe to proceed. Inner lanes may NOT turn on red. Remember, curb lane stays in curb lane when they turn and inner lanes stay in their inner lane when turning. There is no such thing as a double green arrow. There is a green light, which is like a green arrow, all lanes may move, if it is safe to proceed. The green arrow means another set of traffic may also be moving, you may move in that direction, but yield if necessary, proceed when safe to do so. Often the other side may have through and right turn traffic enabled while your side has right green arrow. The other side's turn lanes usually have a red light. |
