Question: Why is it sometimes legal to turn right on a red light? Posted: 21 Oct 2015 02:56 PM PDT As g answered, it's to keep traffic from backing up at the lights. Red means stop with no exceptions - yes it does. However, after the stop you may proceed unless the intersection is properly marked with no right turn on red signage. Here's an applicable paragraph from my State's laws: Knowing when I or another may or may not go keeps me from getting run over. ![]() |
Question: At what minimum vehicular speed is fatality guaranteed? Posted: 21 Oct 2015 01:41 PM PDT There is no such thing as " fatality guaranteed". There are people that have walked away from 100+ MPH collisions and those that have died at less than half of that speed. ![]() |
