Question: Are fast drivers smarter? Posted: 22 Mar 2015 09:35 AM PDT To contradict the others on here, I live in a nice countryside area which has a lot of older people 50+, they all drive very slowly yet are VERY dangerous, often cutting blind corners....VERY OFTEN, always pulling out on people, swerving all over the roads, driving at 20mph in 60mph zones, never let other cars out etc. I on the other hand drive pretty fast everywhere (with exception of built up area's, by schools etc I drive faster than most BUT I can seemingly read the road better than most I also have very good reflexes. Speeding isn't the problem, BAD DRIVING is the problem, there are quite often crashes and near misses down here and it is pretty much always middle age/ old people involved. I am 36 myself so not a kid and have 17 years of driving experience, have always been a fast driver, ONLY ever had two crashes that were my fault and they were very slow with little damage (lack of concentration probably looking at girls or something years ago). |

Question: How much longer will my 2006 Hyundai elantra last me? Posted: 22 Mar 2015 07:16 AM PDT The car has fading paint and I lost the original hub caps when I bought the car about three years ago hitting a few side walks when I was learning how to drive. Anyways, basically the car is not the prettiest car in the world but it gets the job done. For instance, I work very far from my home. It's about 45 mins driving on the freeway. Also, I take it everywhere. Everyone tells me I need a new car but they don't understand how reliable it is. Also how much it means to me. My dad and I rebuilt it from the bottom up which is why it is so reliable. It has a lot of meaning to me. The car has 200,000 miles on it right now and I am getting worried on if it will last me another 100,000 miles because I love this car. It's taken me to places without any trouble on Friday night, I was cruising for four hours straight and then went home and got ready for my date and drove with my date to another far place about two hours or so on the road again and she told me "Wow, if I did this in my car, we would have gotten stranded by now." I just laughed and told her to "wait, it's gonna happen." But just joking around. I think I have a special car that's why I don't wanna get rid of it. But I had a nightmare last night I was visiting my car in the cemetery.... Junkyard. |
