Question: Can I register a car with a Florida Salvage title in NY without inspection? Posted: 31 Mar 2015 09:04 AM PDT ---I am thinking about purchasing a car off a friend, the car in question has a florida salvage title. I wanted to know if I can take that title to the DMV and register it normally? The car runs perfectly, and doesn't need any repairs. Thank you |
Question: How can i request a title? Posted: 31 Mar 2015 09:00 AM PDT Say WHOOT??? How the IFF can the title belong to 3ppl? Or did you mean the seller wrote your brothers name in the wrong spot, and thats it? If you're retarded enough to buy a car from someone who doesnt own it ( Is not the same person whos name is printed on front of title) and also had the buyers section filled out to someone who wasnt your brother you're just SOL. Only way to fix this is to find the real owner and convince that person to obtain a duplicate title to sing over to brother. Yes DMV is getting real hard on curbstoners and flippers. Dumb people buying from them will learn quick |
Posted: 31 Mar 2015 08:35 AM PDT However long the allowable 'grace period' is, it's probably expired long ago. You're blasted right they won't repair it, mostly because you waited two years to report it to them. If you were talking about a week, no problem. Even if it was a month, they'd still probably do it if you had a logical reason for not notifying them right away. But two years is just extreme. Here's your problem. In the contract you signed with them, one of the conditions (it's written into the agreement) says that you agree to notify them of any loss or damage involving your vehicle as soon as possible. It doesn't say a maximum number of days, it actually says as soon as possible in the agreement. And they're serious about that condition, which is why they put it in writing in the contract. If you call them to report this claim, they'll ask for the exact date that the loss occurred. When you tell them (you need the exact date, by the way), they'll ask you why you waited so long to notify them. Then they'll have to try really hard to contain their laughter when you tell them. |

Question: How much do you pay for car insurance? Posted: 31 Mar 2015 08:08 AM PDT I pay too god blasted much, that's how much I pay and thank you for asking. I have the standard 'full' coverage ($1 million liability, collision, comprehensive, loss of use, etc), I'm old as dirt and I've been driving like a complete coward for over 20 years, and I'm still getting reamed. The reasons my price is so high are stuff like my location (rating territories are a factor), my commute distance (that counts too), the vehicle I drive (which also counts), government legislation affecting how much insurers have to pay where I live (huge factor), and the fact that I'm paying for everyone else's accidents because that's what insurance is. It's the many paying for the losses of the few, or so the official description of insurance says. My wife and several of her friends are absolutely convinced that our insurance broker is screwing her. And since I am our insurance broker, I really wish that were true more often than it really is. Did you know insurance brokers are legally not allowed to have sex with their clients? It's true, because then the customer might think they're paying twice for essentially the same service. Do you know why there are a million lawyer jokes and not one joke about insurance brokers? Because all the insurance broker jokes are true stories. Why are there no evil insurance brokers? Because you need a soul to be evil. How does an insurance broker say f**k you? Trust me. Thank you, thank you, I'm here all week, don't forget to tip your waitress! Anyway, you don't really care what anyone else pays for their auto insurance, because none of them are you. They're not living in your house, they don't have the same car as you, they don't have your driving experience (year licensed, previous accidents & tickets, etc), they don't have the same coverage as you, nor the same commute distance, and most of them don't even live in your state. Most of them aren't your age, and roughly half of them aren't your gender. There are over a hundred more factors that affect auto insurance prices, and I only listed the top seven or eight. The only thing you care about, or even need to care about, is what it costs for you. Get a few more quotes and compare the market. Only do it by phone, because online quotes are about 90% completely unreliable. |
