Cars & Transportation: Aircraft: “Question: Are there any FAA approved ADHD medications for airline transport/commercial helicopter pilots?” plus 1 more |
| Posted: 18 Mar 2015 09:25 AM PDT I know it's a tough pill to swallow when a flying career may be your dream, but you need to kiss it goodbye. The only way I can see you getting over this hurdle is if your ADHD magically went away somehow, WITHOUT any kind of medication whatsoever. It is my understanding that a clinical diagnosis of ADHD is a permanent condition. But that doesn't mean you couldn't do something else useful and rewarding in aviation. Maybe you could go for an aerospace engineering degree. Maybe you'll design the next super efficient airfoil or an engine that doesn't need to burn a fossil fuel. If you do, you'll get more recognition and be wealthier than any of us pilots could hope to be. But don't let that |
| Question: Im scared to death of flying.? Posted: 18 Mar 2015 05:16 AM PDT You have a significantly higher risk of being injured getting out of the shower, or driving to the airport. relax and enjoy the experience. Actually for a few hours, you are pretty much 100% safe. |
