Question: By-pass oil filtration system? Posted: 20 Mar 2015 04:29 PM PDT Does anybody have a by-pass oil filtration system in your vehicle? If so, what brand do you have? How do you like it? Was it easy to install? How to you check the oil quality? Do you send it in for analysis or just go by color? And... Was it worth it? I want to put one in my '99 F250 7.3l Powerstroke. With a 16 qt. oil capacity, it would be nice if I could change the oil only, say - once a year, or 'never'! |
Question: Synthetic oil differences? Posted: 20 Mar 2015 04:23 PM PDT Been thinking about installing a by-pass oil filtration system in my truck. But is there any difference in quality/performance between self-described "premium" brands like Royal Purple or Amsoil and a "regular" synthethic like Mobil 1? Putting this in a '99 F250 w/ 7.3l diesel, if you're curious. |
Question: Vacuum line car problem? Posted: 20 Mar 2015 04:21 PM PDT A leak in the vacuum system will cause a number of problems, running rough, stalls, racing rpms, etc. O'riley's sells hose by the foot. You should be able to replace it yourself. And in the next few weeks replace all the hoses you can get to. They are all probably worn out too. Note do them ONE at a time so you do not get confused. |
