Question: Mom is buying a car can I trade in a car I own? Posted: 20 Mar 2015 06:32 PM PDT She can use your car with your permission if that's what you are asking. You'd have to sign the title in front of a notary. You'd be better off selling it on your own. |
Question: Salvage Title Q for experienced car buyers and mechanics...? Posted: 20 Mar 2015 06:07 PM PDT Salvage title means it was written off by the insurance company as not worth fixing. It was bought at auction for peanuts and fixed as cheaply as possible to pass inspection and to flip on unsuspecting saps. There is a reason they are *usually* cheaper, because they were junk. Seller will likely say "It was just a fender!", it is up to you to choose if they are legit and selling a spectacular vehicle that somehow got a little ding and was written off, or a hodge-podge sculpture of bondo and used parts with a fresh coat of paint. |

Posted: 20 Mar 2015 06:01 PM PDT when you lease you are simply renting the vehicle with a mileage limit and the stipulation that you have full coverage insurance at all times , sometimes you can choose options or add things but usually they lease a base model and a higher end model and you pick one the costs vary by dealership and vehicle make and model and also whether you qualify for a low interest rate ( great credit ) or a high rate ( poor credit or needs a cosigner ) I can give you one example using a vehicle that is in the $27,00 range , the honda crv 2wd model a 2 year lease a two year lease with a $1555.24 due on delivery down payment reduced the weekly payment to $72.74 with the same mileage limits and same buyout amount at the end |
