Question: Should I run high mile oil on a car with 168 thousand miles? the best kind? Posted: 18 Mar 2015 04:57 PM PDT 1998 Grand Am 3.4, 168,000 miles. Should I run a high mile oil or does it really make a difference? what type should I run ? have been using quaker state Quaker state, penzoil, mobile, GTx,rotella?
Question: What might cause thick, sticky engine oil? Posted: 18 Mar 2015 04:51 PM PDT Certainly you should change the oil. Running the engine at all like this could ruin it. If the oil has water (antifreeze) in it, this could suggest a blown head gasket
Question: What does this light mean? Posted: 18 Mar 2015 04:40 PM PDT Tire Pressure Monitoring System. It indicates that one or more of your tires are inflated or deflated beyond the recommended limits. Some TPMS systems have a tire valve that transmits tire pressure info wirelessly to your vehicle's computer. If your panel can display actual pressures, you have direct sensing system. Other types are indirect sensing systems that use the wheel speed sensor. An over inflated or under-inflated tire makes fewer or more revolutions per mile. These type can't display actual tire pressures. I have a direct sensor system and it's more problematic. It intermittently displays faulty tire pressures even though my tire pressures are where they should be.
