Question: How i can convert, the car engine for helicopter engine.? Posted: 21 Mar 2015 10:07 AM PDT Get a transmission or system of belts that will convert an engine that has good mid-range tongue from around 3000-4000 RPM into an RPM that will give a rotor speed of between 300-400 RPM (depending on the size of the rotors). I personally don't think it would be all that hard to convert a car engine for use in a helicopter and I'm sure it would fly just fine. Durability and reliability might not be the best unless you are looking at something like a big (aluminum) block Chevy.... |
